Share Club - Minimalism Recycled!
Instructions, stories, examples.
What is Share Club?
A fancy name I thought up for what myself and a few gal pals were doing. Sharing what excess we had. We get together every Tuesday for lunch, chat, and a light 30 minute bible study. It's a leisurely 2 1/2 hours. We have a blast!
One day I decided to bring extra produce I had. It had a day or two left, but I had more than I could reasonable eat before it would spoil. I invited any girl take all or part. It was divvied up, gone!
I kept doing this, bringing my overages or nicer things I would normally give to the charity second hand store. The other girls began bringing their stuff too!
Here's the list of items that have been shared, to give you some ideas:
Typical Share Club Items
Fresh Fruit
Fresh Produce
Partial loaves of bread ("Too dry", she said, "you can have it." Turns out it's one of my faves I don't buy-too expensive! -yum, thanks!)
Canned goods
Clothing (Your friends likely know your size and style or have a friend to pass it onto.)
Toiletries: partial bottles or hotel bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, liquid soap. Perfume....consider it next time you de-clutter!
Cleaning agents: partial bottles. (Well, it didn't work for me. You wanna try it? Sure, I was going to buy it to try, thanks! Saved me the money!)
Books, magazines
Animal food: dry food partials or full unopened cans. (Here, maybe yours will eat it; mine won't.....)
Costume Jewelry
Nail Polish
Has the list got you thinking yet? I bet it does!
